HSF and W&C PFOs.... Went to a VS for one and AC for another in previous cycles. Adds to my suspicion that it is much harder to progress once you've been to a VS or AC with a firm.
I think the more difficult part is progressing to the AC in the very next cycle as they expect you to amend your application which contains the same exact questions.
I think it's more of a generic "encouragement" in the sense that they don't have a specific policy barring people from applying after failing an AC. But I don't know anyone who actually pulled it off in the very next cycle....
