At least Travers Smith is beginning to get back to people about partner interviews. They defo saw us discussing them on the forum and knew they had to act quick. 😂
It might be that they recruited heavily from the WVS and will do the same from the upcoming SVS. After SVS they will have probably filled up almost all their TC spaces and so don’t feel it is necessary to have a DTC route this year. 😞
This is literally exactly how I feel right now. The anxiety is too much and it’s killing me. 😂🥲
If Paul from Paul, Weiss sees this, please give AC invites to all of us on the TCLA forum. 🙂🙂
Has anyone heard back from Paul, Weiss post online test with an AC invite, or has it only been PFO’s so far and nothing else?
The waiting is driving me insane. I just want it to be over and done with if it’s a PFO. 🥲🥲
I think this would depend on if it’s an in person or online interview. I think it would be a good idea to email the firm so that they know about it. However, I don’t know how they would then navigate assessing the interview. I think @Jessica Booker can give you a better answer than this tbh. 🥲
I may or may not have accidentally mixed up Hill Dickinson and Womble Bond Dickinson… 💀
I think from last year’s forum, people were getting test invites for Hill Dickinson from the 1st of March onwards. Best of luck! 🙂
Based on last year’s forum, people began to hear back from around the 20th of Feb to early March so hopefully this time next week we will start to receive partner interview invites. 🙂
Best of luck to everyone that has applied to Travers Smith. Hopefully it’s good news for all of us. 🙂
I don’t think the firm would have offered you an AC if they didn’t have any VS slots available. It won’t make a difference when you do your AC. The only thing that could happen is that if you applied for a Spring VS, they might offer you a Summer VS instead. Don’t worry too much about the date...
Jheeze how have you managed to send in so many applications! 😮 Absolute machine frfr! 🙂
Are you planning on applying to White & Case Direct TC this application cycle? I don’t know if they allow more than one application per cycle so you can either apply for the VS or TC. I don’t know for sure...
Oops my bad, yeah I meant 26th of Feb lmao. 🤣
Some people even started hearing back around early March. 🥲
Same with Travers Smith unless they change it this year.
‘Er… yes, even I can see that it would…’
‘It wouldn’t just be within employment law though would it?’
Both of these comments came across as very rude and condescending. There is no need for it imo. 🤨
I haven’t heard back from either yet. I have seen people with PFO from Paul, Weiss so just anxiously waiting for mine. 🥲🥲
As for Ropes & Gray, based on last year's forum, they didn’t get back to people until a week before the first AC date. I doubt we will hear back until at least Wed 26th...
I remember the BCLP graduate recruitment manager talked about this topic during the BCLP open day in relation to rare recruitment and how rare’s partner firms use contextual data. The original question she was asked was in relation to the USA DEI situation and how it would impact UK firms.
She...
Yeah I had this experience for the WVS in that they gave us a date of when to expect to hear back at the latest but that day was when they sent out all the PFO’s.
It took them two months to send an automated rejection email lmao. To be fair though it was my first ever application so I wasn’t...
