That question is a bit weird because when firms have this question, it’s usually a Yes/No option, but here you need to tailor down a 100-word answer. I also wonder whether Grammarly counts towards AI.

But from your pov you'd rather write a good cover letter and then if you get shortlisted towards the next stage, it just motivates you more and gives you a bit of energy that you're one step up compared to just receiving an automatic WG or SJT, which is just nothing special about...
Probs bad because last year it was only to write that cover letter, and if you're shortlisted, then they sent you WG. Whereas they are now all being lazy and starting to follow Linklaters structure. A&O changed their structure to this one as well.

I can't believe Macfarlanes has only one 300-word motivation question for their Vacation Scheme application. Does anyone know whether they send an automatic Watson-Glaser test once you apply?
I've noticed a few firms have this common question in the application where you need to tick either the Yes or No box and then give an explanation:
Have you chosen to use AI tools (such as ChatGPT) in your application? Provide a short explanation of your choice – 100 words
If the answer is No...
