Looks like an aspiring barrister recently used a subject access request for feedback: https://www.legalcheek.com/2020/09/aspiring-barrister-uses-gdpr-regs-to-secure-pupillage-interview-feedback/. I imagine this will be quite annoying for firms if more candidates start doing this.
Just another comment on this:
If you are choosing a very technical topic for this question, it's important to make sure the reader can still understand your topic and explanation, assuming the reader has little background knowledge about your chosen area.
If I read a topic and I find it too...
Just a quick pointer on this application question. The question doesn't ask you to tailor this to A&O, so personally, I don't feel you must include references to the firm. If the firm wanted you to do so, it would have been in the question.
That said, I'm seeing a lot of applications where...
With scenario questions like this, try to put yourself in the situation and discuss the specific steps you would take. It wouldn't necessarily be wrong to ask for clarification from a partner, but bear in mind that he is busy and the task is urgent. You'd want to consider if there are other...
Hey guys,
Would be great if we can keep all discussions about this A&O question in the thread Jess linked above.
I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread, but feel free to re-post your questions/follow-ups there.
Welcome to the forum!

I don’t think there’s a need to talk about the...
One thing we are also planning to introduce (which @Jessica Booker previously suggested) is a database that indicates the stage of a firm in terms of releasing interview invitations etc.
This might be something we'll build into the forum or we can just make this an ongoing Google Document...
That's a really good point, I've seen plenty of people who have accidentally clicked 'disagree' and I know that isn't nice for the recipient! I think this is definitely something we can introduce.
Hey James,
Thank you for your contribution to this thread. Just to let you know you've been selected to win the £5 Amazon Gift Card for your feedback. Will PM you!
Definitely - we have a lot of work to do in the forums as a lot of the content is outdated/could be better structured. We'll be fixing this (along with adding a number of big changes to the forums) very soon!
If anyone has any other suggestions for how to improve the forum, please let us know...
