Firstly, huge congrats on securing TC offers from all these firms. That is some GOATed stuff right there my friend! 🐐
In terms of your question, I think Freshfields is the strongest out of these firms for dispute resolution (litigation and arbitration). I think Freshfields is also really strong...
I think I saw BCLP are recruiting for paralegals in the Manchester office (real estate & disputes) and Clyde & Co are recruiting for their regional offices (casualty & insurance). 🙂
Clyde & Co have an actual training programme for it called the paralegal academy. You can secure a TC internally...
I can only speak from my experience having applied for the WVS, but usually the date they give is the day they send out their PFOs. 🥲
Since the deadline was 3+ weeks ago, I think they have finished reviewing applications now and will begin inviting to next stages. 🙂
Best of luck to everyone...
I’m not an expert by any means at interviews or anything but there are a few things that have crossed my mind. Firstly, I don’t think it’s ideal to rehearse and memorise answers to specific questions in advance of an interview. It is very tempting when preparing for an interview or an AC to plan...
Hi everyone,
A few people have been asking about Breezy and his whereabouts. Can confirm he will be back on this account by Monday.
Thank you all for being so kind and welcoming to me whilst I’ve been on here. It’s been nice to interact with you all these past 2-3 weeks.
This is my final post...
Anyone received updates from Hogan Lovells or Ashurst since yesterday?
Seems unlikely we will hear back from either of them until after Easter break now.
Back again with the daily ‘has anyone heard anything from Hogan Lovells or Ashurst since yesterday’ question.
Any updates from either at all? Got told I passed WGT for Hogan Lovells around 2 months ago. The waiting is very long.
Both myself and Breezy have just received the online test invite for Baker McKenzie DTC.
Does anyone know whether the VI is part of the online test or if it’s a separate stage?
Paul Hastings’ DTC is non-rolling. Deadline is 30th June 2025. I think interviews will take place July and August. They are interviewing people for the Phirst Steps SVS’ currently. They take place in June (16th - 20th and 23rd - 27th June).
Same here tbh. Not super hopeful about Cappfinity. I’ve yet to pass one. Think Breezy applied to Ashurst for their WVS and Hogan Lovells for SVS. I applied for their DTCs. Hoping to hear positively soon.
I’m looking to apply to Paul Hastings for DTC. I haven’t applied to them yet. Breezy...
Hi @Andrei Radu,
I hope you are keeping well.
Breezy has an interview coming up with Paul Hastings for their Phirst Steps SVS. I am asking the following question on his behalf. He is away on a Spring VS at the moment. I think he asked you similar questions on this forum before re Paul, Weiss...
Hi guys,
Posting this on Breezy’s behalf as he is currently on a Spring VS, so isn’t active on this account at the moment. I am a close friend of his and he has trusted me to manage his account until he comes back from his VS.
Breezy has received a first-round interview invite from Paul...
I think the best thing you can do is (1) familiarise yourself with the test and what exactly it is looking to assess you on and (2) try complete some practice tests, bearing that information in mind. These links might be useful. Best of luck with the Ashurst test...
Thank you so much @Andrei Radu and @Ram Sabaratnam for your responses! You guys are both GOATed frfr! 🐐
I will definitely try and evaluate these aspects during my VS’. I imagine it may most likely come down to a gut feeling in the end! 😅
It is possible that you could begin the TC in an earlier intake (September 2026), but I think that would depend on whether you are a law or non-law finalist. If you are a law finalist, the only thing you would need to do between graduating and commencing the TC is the SQE course, which you could...
