Quick quesiton from me, how 'good' is name dropping in applications, I've tried it in the past, and used it like 'I spoke to Bob and learnt x', but I'm not really sure how worth while it is, I asusme it does not put you at an advantage? Any thoughts @Jessica Booker ?

I didn’t know about the Linklaters open day, so if you get a place on that, you then get fast tracked to an AC for the vac scheme? Seems like a no brainer to apply for the open day then?

My mate did a vac scheme at Slaughters, non Oxbridge, said everyone who got the TC was from Oxbridge, even those who didn’t perform well and “messed up the interview” still got the TC. Is a shame how some firms are so Oxbridge centric, never really understood why some view them as better...
