the classes are done every day for different students over a whole week. So for example if you've a class scheduled for Monday you can apply to switch (for that week) to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, but not to a different week.
If you miss a whole week and are self-funding there are...
she's taken down her linkedin, which was up when I checked earlier.
it appeared that she was out of work for a few months. in this kind of scenario she might well not have disclosed the circumstances of her departure to her new employers, who might not be too impressed!

Interesting.
LLB (first class) from KCL
A*A*A* from elite London private school
Macfarlanes paralegal. Went to AC for TC in 2023. "repeatedly accessed information that was confidential and which she knew or ought to have known she was...
It's a normal commuting time; distance is possibly a different matter.
E.g., somewhere like Tunbridge Wells is a desirable commuter town, and is 54 minutes from London, which is going to be well over 1 hr 20 minutes door-to-door. A season ticket is £154/week.
OTOH somewhere like Coventry is...
I think it's best if you are specific about what you have done and how it's benefited you and/or others.
For example, I say I like cycling. I then say that:
* I have learned about the technology of bicycles
* I have achieved personal goals such as cycling up mountains, by discipline and...
My understanding of Farrer's rejection email is that they separately consider a single application for VS&TC, so if you applied originally for VS & TC, and are rejected for VS, then you are also considered for the TC.
Yes this is the problem with anonymous posts and one-sided accounts: the firm might know that the candidate didn't bother turning up to classes (the universities provide them with this data), and decided to rescind as a result of this.
I would email them now saying "My certificates got lost during a house move, and I have applied for copies, however this will take up to four weeks, so might not arrive before the VS, would this be a problem?"
This was discussed here (et seq)

Since there is a VI you will need to research about the firm as they're almost guaranteed to ask "why do you want to work...
I've seen to different approaches to this, depending on the firm.
Firstly, I got a VS interview where I was specifically instructed to copy-paste the cover letter into the box, and address it "to the training principal". As such, I did "Dear Training Principal", and wrote it exactly like a...
W&S I haven't heard about, but GD sent me a PFO last Thursday (complete with generic application advice with a typo in it), so maybe login to allhires to be sure your PFO didn't get spam filtered or something.
Right, but I'm saying the only reason to change your normal work accessories is because you don't want to give the impression that you come from a privileged background. However, law firms are not looking to hire only people from deprived backgrounds, but widely, on merit. They are not tossing...
Don't see how it could be, it's a professional accessory that costs the same as a soon-to-be-ewaste iPhone. It's not like the defendant turning up to a fraud trial in a Lamborghini or something - you don't have to pretend to be from a disadvantaged background if you're not!
Yeah my app shows like this within Allhires when i view it:
Training Contract 2027
Vacation Schemes 2025
Intakes:
Choice 1:Spring
Choice 2:1st Summer
Choice 3:2nd Summer
Given that the TC deadline is 30 March, I would try and get yours changed to a 'both' application, if possible
To clarify, I probably have at least 30 different questions that I've answered in application forms, and the specific application questions for the VI (Fox Williams) I'm preparing for were:
1. why should we select you? what sets you apart from other candidates?
2. which of our core sectors...
They said during the AC that if you ticked the 'training contract' in addition to 'vacation scheme' when you applied via allhires it is not necessary to make a separate application for the TC.
On the topic of application questions, is there generally a difference between VI questions and application form questions in terms of what you could be asked and how to answer it?
I have collected my application form questions, which tend to be 250-300 words, and have answers to everything...
It's not putting the blame on anyone, I am speaking from my own personal experience.
I have always (up to the present day) been pretty much indifferent to my appearance, and have also in the past been mostly close to people who are not particularly bothered. More recently I have close personal...
