I mean if you think about it extracurriculars are also discriminatory. I’m at Oxbridge and I can 100% tell you that I have more access to extracurriculars than others at RG unis let alone non-RG unis, because of the college system its a lot less daunting to get involved/start ur own society, so...
tbf I think ropes is one of the SEO London sponsor firms that progress you straight to AC if you did well on their SEO London events which shoes they’re huge in diversity and inclusion and I think by having only that written answer to assess applicants they’re able to completely eliminate these...
Yeah of course, I mean I’m in final year and didn’t attend a single event until last july and have received multiple vac scheme offers so its very very possible. What I meant with what I said was that in the future the firms will have to somehow differentiate between excellent candidates since...
haha its definitely not at that stage now, as others have stated and from my own experience you can be so successful with no previous experience, so don’t let that get you down!! I just said it as an observation because thats the impression I have of where the recruitment process is heading but...
i think unfortunately with any graduate career that pays as much as law does, there will be a huge influx of candidates, and I 100% think law is tending towards a similar process to investment banking where if you didn’t complete a spring week in first year you essentially have no chance...

Hey just wondering, is it possible to find out the average billable hour count for a law firm? For example Latham has a target of 1,900 but thats very different to if the average is up around 2,200... Just want to make an informed decision of what firm I wanna train at
I got asked a v similar question and I think in that case an escrow account would potentially be used to store a percentage of the money the seller gets until the threat is over?? I’m not 100% sure though
Tbf I don’t know much about Jones Day in the UK but they have been through quite a bit in the US (gender discrimination lawsuit etc). Regarding reputation, if Kirkland can get away with representing Jeffrey Epstein and still be successful I think Jones Day won’t rlly be affected by this.
Is this morgan lewis? I think look at how much the parters donated to each party and you’ll get a vibe, but I assume over 50% of partners at least will be pro Trump...
If asked what challenges face a firm and I don’t mention Brexit will I be penalised? I just really can’t bear the thought of having to research Brexit AGAIN
