The SQE is making this slightly more complicated unfortunately. What has happened before might not be the case of it happening again (depends on when the firm is asking you to do the SQE assessments too).
It wouldn’t make sense for you to apply for a training contract as you’d be a qualified lawyer by the time you could start a TC in the UK. You’d need to consider applying for qualified lawyer roles (and taking the SQE). You don’t need qualifying work experience alongside the SQE examinations if...
Prose/paragraphs unless you can format the text with bullet points within the application form (eg the application form has the functionality for you to add bullet points).
I’d expect the first interview to be more focused on the article then. I would expect the second interview to be more competency based/motivational based. However, the article interview could be a hybrid of article, competency and motivational.
Use their full address and date it. You don’t have to include your name and address though as you would do in a formal letter (we know future trainees who have done this).
Probably nothing to do with you as an applicant. It is more likely to be either
1) resource - unfortunately there are not enough graduate recruiters in the market these days, and if someone has left the team it could easily be that they don’t have the people to run the ACs for the time being...
Within a firm it might be possible especially if those teams work relatively close together on matters. It would probably be more difficult to move across firms and across teams at the same time though.
How difficult/easy it is impossible to say - again there ars foo many variables here do take...
These questions are typically wanting you to chose a topic that interests you - it doesn't have to be related to law at all, and more times than not the stronger answers aren't trying to anticipate what they THINK the firm wants to see, they just answer it honestly on a topic they are truly...
Or you could create another section for events (especially if you have other open days/conferences/careers events you have attended).
