I had this happen to me but from Clifford Chance post WG for their Direct TC. They literally sent me 4 consecutive PFOs with “WATSON GLASER TEST FAILED: APPLICATION REJECTION” in full caps like bruh why so aggressive chill out wtf…
That’s probs just that particular firm being stuffy about the work experience. I’ve included all of the insight events I’ve attended (listing them all under a single entry) and have progressed past the app stage with several US firms (Skadden, Akin, Willkie and Gibson Dunn).
Suppose it depends on whether you’ve done this to answer one question or if it’s 4 deals spanning a few different answers.
If it’s the former I’d probs cut down and focus on 1 or 2 but offer more analysis. If it’s the latter, I’d say it should be okay but be cautious!
Can anyone provide insights into the Akin TI and the Gibson Dunn VI? I’d rly appreciate it.
I can exchange for insights into the following firms:
1: Freshfields stage 1 and 2 (Direct TC)
2: Hogan Lovells stage 1 and 2
3: Milbank stage 1
4: Weil SJT and VI
5: Willkie VI
6: Skadden WE
Sent application: 23 Dec
Received online test: 24 Dec
Sat online test: 24 Dec
Received holding email: 30 Dec
Invite to first stage interview: 8 Jan
This is for the Spring VS.
Cooley Summer VS PFO post app. I applied on the 27th Dec for anyone who is wondering.
However, legit 5 mins after I got a Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher first stage interview invite lmfao.
This process is so crazy and varied. I got these emails while doing my Freshfields interview.
