For any grads on here, in interview how often are you questioned on how you have spent your time after graduating or why you have failed to secure a TC yet?
I think the SQE scenario is a reach, but having multiple TCs to weigh up your options is something that slipped my mind. I interpreted it as them just wanting to do the schemes.
IDK whether you can do that, but it feels a bit inconsiderate to prospective applicants who are seriously considering a TC there who would now be deprived of a place.
If you have multiple extracurriculars, good grades, and work part-time, you are already a great candidate, I don't think trying to take on more things would be worth it/beneficial.
I have a similar background to you but with a 2:1, and it definitely hasn't stopped me progressing to interviews...
Even if you scored 40/40 on the WG, if your application answers, grades, work experience, or any other aspect wasn't considered sufficient, you could still be rejected. So you can't conclude they don't care past the benchmark.
Ty for responses, huge relief for me. I always try so hard to never reuse an experience, but it can get quite difficult in longer interviews. This made me way more relaxed for my upcoming interview
