As it has been 8 working days since your AC, I would ask as to when you will hear back so you can manage a conversation with your existing offer.
This is then not asking for the process to be expedited but is making clear you have another offer.
And you can then manage the existing offer too...
It sounds like they are trailing an assessment for these type of roles. It’s probably optional for a number of reasons, while they test the assessment out.
Just do it when bests suits you. Firms aren’t going to over offer just in case there are stronger candidates they see in the final ACs. People also decline and renege offers as they go through the process which means more slots could open up even if they have offered many candidates already.
