    General Discussion Thread 2020-21

Hi all, does anyone have any advice on how to perform well in written exercises in assessment centres. From my previous feedback, I've been told my written structure is good but the content itself lets me down. Any resources out there for helping to practice picking out key points in a case...

Thank you so much!! I definitely find that I tend to ramble when flustered haha so I will practice set questions to avoid this.

    General Discussion Thread 2020-21

Hi all, anyone have any tips for video interviews, I've had three this cycle and only managed to progress past that stage for only one firm, not sure if that one was a fluke as I pretty much did the same approach in all three, I've just been invited for another one so I'll be very grateful if...

Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020

Sorry to hear that. I spoke to grad rec today and got similar feedback as well post rejection. I was also strongly encouraged to apply for the winter vac scheme too so we'll see. It's so frustrating when you get so close but I guess it means it wasn't meant to be. Best of luck with your other...

Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020

Ahh if that's the case then I hope it's still good news. What day was your AC on? 6th or 7th? At the end, grad rec said they would let us know outcomes by the end of last week so I've just assumed it's a rejection since they've made offers for other offices and it's now past the timeline they gave.

Not heard back yet too from Squires but I think it's a rejection as I've heard they've made offers last week :(

    Ask A Graduate Recruiter Anything!

Thank you for your quick reply Jessica! The firm is DWF and I've mentioned their decision to float on the LSE, their international expansion strategy especially as they were known for being a national firm and also their 'connected services' which offers additional services to clients. Like you...

    Ask A Graduate Recruiter Anything!

Hi Jessica, if a firm asks "what do you think differentiates us from our competitors", is it worth mentioning who their competitors are in a specific practice area or not or can I just mention strategies the firm is taking to stand out in general? Thanks :)

Reed Smith rejection post research questions, absolutely gutted as I went to the open day, connected with the firm and spent a lot of time on the answers :(
