Not in particular! The LPC isn’t a memory test unlike how uni may have been, but I’d advise having your consolidated/ SGS solutions printed off and tabbed per topic. Also I’d recommend asking your tutors to clarify the scope of the mocks too.- H.N.

No the questions were the same type as what you’d get in the exam but because you’re doing mocks having only done part of the course, they have to give you questions on what you’ve studied and sometimes there’s a mismatch - what you may answer as a long-form in the mock you may later come to...- H.N.

Mocks are tough primarily because of the timing (civil lit and PLP mainly) and allegedly harsher marking. I wouldn’t overthink them and just use them as an opportunity to figure out exam technique and how you’ll navigate your materials. A good chunk of my cohort, including myself, failed at...- H.N.

Your firm may be able to put you in touch with other future trainees who may be up for organising a flat share, but this would depend on your own firm’s approach. Best advice I can give is to set up alerts on Spareroom/Openrent/Zoopla/Rightmove and call up estate agents or landlords directly...- H.N.

LPC pre work really necessary?
For BPP, I personally just did the reading only as it was a repeat of LLB content. There’s no need to take notes or anything, and a lot of people don’t do it anyway- it doesn’t come up again. I didn’t use any guides as I really didn’t feel the need to, but I think the best thing you can have...- H.N.

Just from my experience with the firm, they do have a benchmark for the WG but a lot of their decision-making is based on the CV and commercial question. For my interviews, and any big exam or test really, I never do anything the day before because I’d take that time to give my brain a rest!
