    Can't speak to the first question, but one of my friends did the SWE last cycle and he got his scheme offer through an email. He did his interview around mid-Feb and heard back in early March.

    Out of interest, if I'm asked 'what is the role of a trainee at our firm' for a VI/AC, do I need to explain what they actually do and then draw a link to my skills, or should I just focus on demonstrating my knowledge of what a trainee actually does?

    Rather than focusing on a 'practice group' I focused on their Regulatory & Public Policy practice (although i did heavily reference their sector expertise in tech and energy). Do you think that's too vague/doesn't answer the question or do you reckon it's fine?
