19/20 Post App/AC... What next?

Hi all,

I thought to make a thread for people like me who have just gone through the 19/20 recruitment cycle and were unfortunately rejected post-app or post-AC.

I was hoping that we could all share some tips or strategies as to what we're doing now until the Summer cycle and even 2020/21 cycle too?

Usually you can only reapply next academic year meaning Sept 2020 onwards

If I had secured nothing this summer, I was planning on spending time looking at my apps and trying to bolster the "bank" of questions I have answers to. I only submitted around half of the applications I thought I was going to do, and there is definitely an element of it being a 'numbers game'. Also, any firm that was rolling, I was going to apply for within the first two weeks or so (something I didn't do this year).

Thanks for the helpful table. Baker McKenzie has opened its direct TC application window for graduates and finalists already, which will close on 1 April 2020

Really helpful table! It’s important to note that some of these aren’t open to non law students I.e Slaughter and May and Freshfields. Not sure if any others are but thought it was worth a mention
