Applying without official uni grades

Hi! I'm wondering how others approaching applying for vac schemes without official grades awarded at the end of first year? Most exams were cancelled or made Pass/ Fail due to coronavirus.

I'm unsure whether to put unofficial grades from essays, ask my professors for a predicted grade, or to put N/A with explanation.

Any help would be appreciated!
