Hi, I have a paralegal job completely unrelated to commercial law, was hoping for some guidance as to how I can discuss this when answering why 'commercial law'?!

Assuming you are looking to discuss this job because there are aspects you enjoy which link to commercial law, tell them just that. Think about the things in your current work which you enjoy and how these might link to a career in commercial law and how you can convey this in your applications and at interview. It doesn't matter if it is not a commercial role - any experience at all can have some cross-overs to a career in law so it;s just about teasing these things out and thinking about how they can link well to commercial law.
