Has anyone received responses from firms after applying for first-year schemes? I made my fair share of applications but I'm super nervous waiting for the outcome!

i have applied for Kirkland and ellis open day but no word from them
if i dont get it. i would not mind
aspiring solicitors are having an in-person event with them which i signed up for

I have applied for Kirkland and Ellis as well but I haven't received a response from them. If you don't mind, could you please share the link to the AS Event ( I am an AS First member but I haven't received any emails about this event)?

Hey,

I suspect this to be the case as firms are still mainly sorting out direct TC and VS applications (mainly VS). I would not worry too much about the silence, and would encourage you to still try to distract yourself from the weight of not hearing back, though I know how difficult this is. Another thing you could do is to apply for open days as well, as there are sometimes similarities in the information shared with those also shared during first year schemes.

Pro-tip: When crafting applications for open days and FYS, ensure to highlight more of what you will gain, rather than what you already know.
