There have been a few updates since the last one in the past week which I’ll set out below:

1: got the Sidley SVS AC post TI. This was unexpected as I’d assumed a PFO post app…
2: got the Mayer Brown DTC SJT and VI. I’ve only done one other amberjack this cycle (Weil)…
2: submitted my Haynes Boone VS and Bakers DTC apps, hopefully good news for one of these.
3: got PFO from Freshfields DTC post app, SJT and VI after waiting 3 months, this was my 24th PFO.

I’ve got 8 apps left to submit on my list which will take me to 42 apps in total this cycle. I’m sat on 34 apps atm, 24 PFOs, 3 VS offers. Hoping at the end of the cycle I get that one TC offer! ​

Unfortunately I didn’t convert my VSs into a TC so I’m gna be entering a new cycle (how exciting)…

I learned a lot last cycle and I think I’m prepared to do this cycle and will hopefully end it with a TC.

I won’t be applying to 40+ firms this time but I have a list of around 25-30 firms I’d like to apply to.

I also won’t be prioritising open day apps as I went to so many last cycle I don’t think I need anymore…

I have applied to a few so far and have 3-4 others I’ll apply for. I’m gna mainly focus on VS/DTC apps.

As I only did 2 of the 4 VSs I was offered, 1 of the VS firms said that I could potentially re apply. Whether it means my future app would be considered remains unknown, hence why it’s not on this list rn. One of the firms who’s VS I didn’t take also said the same, but I am unsure if I will re apply there either yet…​
