Open question: Do you think it's ok in the question for 'Tell us about any open days and events that you have attended in the legal sector. 250 words' to mention open days and events of other law firms, I haven't attended any from Hogan Lovells and I'm worried this will reflect badly on my application. To be fair a lot of the law events I attended were invitations to events when I worked as a paralegal in-house and ultimately I didn't have much choice over which law firms invited our team.

Hey!

Yes, it’s totally fine to mention events from other firms - the question is more about your overall engagement with the legal sector.

Just focus on what you learned and how those experiences shaped your interest in a firm such as Hogan Lovells. You can always show your interest in them through research elsewhere in your application :)

Hi,

Does anyone know how many stages there are for this vac scheme?
I've found information online that says 3 stages, but as someone currently at what I believe is the 3rd stage job sim but not yet reached AC, this seems to be inaccurate.

The job sim is the second stage. The first stage consists of both the written application and the automatic cappfinity blended assessment. The AC forms the 3rd stage. Hope this clears it out!

Hi, I completed the assessments for the Winter Vac on 13/10 and have not heard anything since. Will they be in contact if I have been rejected or should I assume I have not been forwarded to the next round?
You will very likely be contacted if you have been rejected, this is certainly the usual practice - I have only heard of a couple of firms who have ever simply not gotten back to candidates, and those were significantly smaller than Hogan Lovells. You should not be too worried two weeks have passed since you have completed it; I once waited around 3-4 weeks to hear back from an online assessment I ended up passing.

Thank you for this Andrei, I appreciate the swift response!

Hey :) Have you heard back yet? I submitted around the same time and haven't received a response yet
