I haven't actually received the Kirkland video interview, but I've seen quite a few different questions that have come up this year so a good starting point could be:

Why commercial law?
Why Kirkland & Ellis?
What do you think the impact of AI will be on the job role of lawyers?
Tell us about a commercial trend that may affect K&,E and which practice areas will be most useful?

I'd also suggest prepping the wider competency questions such as tell us about a time you demonstrated X (eg resilience, teamwork, dedication) and potentially message some future trainees on linkedin to see if they can offer some more direct insight!

thank you so much !! will definitely look into doing that thanks. do you know if i;ll just get asked a question from the screen and then i answer it by being recorded, or am i actually going to be interviewed by a human? i will linkedin the trainees now !

No worries, I'm really happy it was helpful! I'm fairly certain it's just being asked a question that appears on the screen, and you're given a certain amount of time to prepare a response. However, K&E's future trainees might have better insights than I do. I'll ask around, though, and come back here if I learn of anything new!
