Hi all and happy holidays!! Hope everyone have a restful break! I haven't forgotten about this thread just that I've been on lurking mode lately👀 Life update: uni was intense but fun! I'm really glad to have normal uni life again as my undergrad was during COVID and met so many like-minded peers. But still, glad to have my Christmas break finally! Application update: did 15 apps so far, aiming at around 35-40. I am literally applying to every type of law firm cuz I'm desperate lol. So far I have 6 rejections, 4 progressions (2 online test 2 vi), and 5 pending. Planning to finish the bulk of my applications during the break. The Withers app has this question: If your favourite childhood toy suddenly came to life, what advice would you give it today? I wrote this: Everyone has their own path in life. Even among like-minded peers, your trajectories may be drastically different. Comparing yourself to others can sometimes keep you motivated, but don’t let it overshadow your progress. Don’t discount your achievements or focus only on the gap to perfection. Stay focused and keep moving forward—you never know when you will reach your goal. And I mean it. If you ask me, how does it feel when I see many of my LLB coursemates already starting their TCs? I find it hard to process at first and start questioning whether I am fit for this career and whether I should spend 5 years of my life here. But it's unfair to compare yourself to others like this. English is not my native language, and I struggled to survive law school, let alone secure a job. I've come a long way to get to where I am today and that's completely fine. At the end of the day, just keep going and enjoy the process. No matter what the result will be, I'm very grateful for what I achieved.
