Hello friends,Since the last post, I got rejected for Dechert post-VI and written assessment. I thought I did well enough but maybe the written assessment was not up to scratch (I remember having some typos in there).I then passed my first ever SJT with Bakers and have now been invited to complete a VI which is very exciting.I also got invited to the Vinson & Elkins VI and have since completed it. I think it went well but let us see what happens as it is a very competitive firm to get an AC for.Last but by no means least, I just got offered an AC from Freshfields for the direct training contract!!!!! I am over the moon and will prepare well for this as it is a great opportunity. It has been the first time since my PFO post-vacation scheme at White & Case that I feel I am close to achieving my dream again!P.S. I thought I would say how things can change so quickly in an application cycle. I think you can see I was slowly losing hope in my post in Jan after 10 straight PFOs but fast forward a month and I have got through the initial stages for 4 top firms now. Just shows everyone should keep their hopes up and try as hard as possible, as you never know what is around the corner.Onwards and upwards!
