Hi everyone,

Just a quick question for people that were unsuccessful in their winter scheme apps...have you guys started to submit your summer app? I am just worried that I might be slightly behind with summer scheme applications I haven't even started any summer scheme apps just wanted to know whats the status of everyone with regards to this?

@Naveen Kas with the greatest of respect, I wouldn’t bother trying to compare the volume of applications everyone else makes. It’s an unnecessary worry and may just add to stress. Or even in the hope to “catch up” result in sending in rushed applications. Everyone is in a different position with uni schedule or part-time/full-time jobs.

Would suggest planning the upcoming weeks and months so that you have enough time for applications.

Volume/timing isn’t key, as much as quality. Unless they’re rolling.

Lastly, I haven’t submitted as many as I would have hoped, but that’s just due to my schedule. But I’ve been working away to draft quite a few so I know I’ll be in a position to in effect bulk submit and improve as I go along or get new ideas.

Thank you AJ and Jaysen. My coming week is slightly packed with few prior commitments and after that I look forward to following AJ's advice and make a plan and try to see where I end up.

Thank you for a few days I was feeling sad thinking I do not have time to start my summer app and by the time I submit my apps in december it will be too late.

Thank you to everyone that replied.

Is it still worth submitting an application to a firm which recruits on a rolling basis at this point??

Yes, I'd keep going. There's no way of knowing whether firms have filled up their places, and even if a law firm has filled up some, send in a very good application and they'll make room.

You do have to weigh it against over factors though. If it's a very long application, close to the deadline and there are other non-rolling firms you are interested in, you may want to spend your time doing those.

Thank you, this is the last rolling firm I'm applying to so I'll try to get it out asap :)
