Hi all, just wanted ask your opinions on something. I've received TC offers in both London and Dubai. I'm just wondering what, as a trainee and at the start of my career, would be most beneficial.

For context, the firm in London is American, not very international but is prestigious and pays well. However, it would likely be a very intense work culture. On the other hand, the one in Dubai is very solid, very international and allows me to come to London for a seat at minimum. I'm really unsure on what to do and would appreciate some thoughts, as I only have a few days to respond to the offer.

Anecdotally I've heard from lawyers that they're not impressed by the quality of work coming out of international firms' Dubai offices. I would choose London easily based on that alone

Hi everyone, I recently completed the Reed Smith Virtual Interview(VI) and Amberjack assessment for the direct training contract application. I had some internet issues which led to delays in my submissions, and I had a moment where my VI submission cancelled so i had to start again. Is this something I should raise with the recruitment team?

It was varied for me. High in some pillars but low in others. you? Personally not reflective of who I am as an individual but thats how it is with SJT's i guess.

If you applied for the WVS or SVS and got PFO post app, then you can re-apply for the DTC in the same application cycle.

However, if you made it to the VI or AC stage, I don’t think you are allowed to re-apply for their DTC in this application cycle. ​

I’m not too sure about their recruitment process if I’m being entirely honest

Idk if they’re still sending the test so maybe waiting for everyone to get their results in and I’m not too sure if their vac schemes are still going on which would mean waiting a bit longer
