Thanks this is super helpful!i guess the assessment should just be a pass. the main thing is gonna be your app. if they like u enough they will give u the wg. after the wg, they will again factor in your wg score and the quality of your app to see if u they wanna give u an AC
TC offer for 2026 on 23/01, AC was 16/01Anyone heard back from CMS post-AC (good or bad)?
I think it depends a lot on the firm a lot, but I would try to tie my work experience with the firm's unique selling points from a candidate perspective. As such, if for instance your firm has market leading expertise in a given practice are/sector, you can explain how assisting lawyers with matters in that field sparked your interest in it. If you want to connect your experiences to broader points about training and culture, you should mention specific instances in which specific people in the firm were particularly nice or helpful - this should make your reasoning more persuasive and distinguish it from those who are making that claim with no concrete experience to back it up.Does anyone have any tips for applying for a TC to a firm you currently work at as a legal assistant/paralegal etc.? Especially for the "why firm" part - how would I leverage on my current experience at the firm, beyond just saying something vague like "everyone has been really nice to work with"?
Hi I received my rejection todayhave you received a response yet?
same hereTrowers PFO post SJT
Same. They were a back-up firm for me so not too disappointed but I did go to their open day and wrote a good application.Trowers PFO post SJT
Likewise (besides going to their open day) I found it to be the hardest SJT I’ve done so not surprised lol!Same. They were a back-up firm for me so not too disappointed but I did go to their open day and wrote a good application.
Must be the SJT that was the problem!
trowers had the same SJT as freshfields I believe- including the question sets.Any insights on the test?
Hey - I haven’t taken trowers, can you please share insights?trowers had the same SJT as freshfields I believe- including the question sets.
there were 6 sections- it had WG elements (conclusions, arguments and assumptions) as well as SJT elements. wouldnt require any extensive prep beforehand in my opinion. all the best!Hey - I haven’t taken trowers, can you please share insights?
