Does anyone know if the commercial exercise at Fried Frank is a group exercise?

I read that on Chamber Student, but on the email from them it just says 'commercial exercise with two associates'. Thanks!

The best source of info to confirm this is from the firm directly. So, it’s definitely worth shooting grad rec an email. Even if you see info on other websites that could answer this question, these could be outdated. It’s also worth pointing that whatever the exercise is, whether individual or group, do not worry too much. Focus on developing your own knowledge and commercial awareness and relaying these during the exercise. If it’s a group presentation though, I’d be mindful to work together as a team and make the most of learning from each others knowledge.

Hi everyone, I’ve just been invited to Mayer Brown’s AC. The link to the booking website says I have until the 4th July to select my AC slot. I want to wait until Friday to hear back from Fried Frank, but I’m worried if I don’t pick the Mayer Brown slot soon enough that the firm would give it away? I’m a bit concerned but maybe I’m worrying over nothing. The email doesn’t mention a date by which I need to pick so I would just be going off the information on the booking website.

Anyone got any insight into whether I should pick sooner or wait to hear back from FF?

Nothing from Macfarlanes, Reed Smith, W&C. Only RS's deadline has passed though. Many have heard from RS though. But they only closed on 20/6.
Does anyone have any advice on Macfarlanes' online assessment? I heard its a blend of SJT and critical thinking (WG style), and have always struggled with SJTs. I heard we should we research the firm's values but still difficult to understand what exactly it is they want...Has anyone progressed through SJTs before and can offer some guidance?

It’s worth choosing the Mayer Brown slot soon, so as to select the time which is most convenient for you. Delaying may mean this is not possible. You can then weigh your options when you hear back from FF, and know how to best proceed in terms of communication.

Hey everyone! Does anyone know the exact TC deadline for WFW today? The website says it is 24th of June, but I could not find the exact time. Thanks in advance!
Usually when I see this, I try to submit the day before just to be safe. For some firms it’s midday (12pm), others it’s 11:59pm, others 12am, etc. For some it may even be a very random time during the day. So, when it’s not reasonable to hear back from grad rec, i.e, when it‘s too soon to the deadline, it’s worth submitting a day before just to be safe.

i've worked on the same landmark aviation case as morgan lewis, do you reckon this okay to mention in my application as the ruling has been handed? @Amma Usman

I am unsure about the extend of disclosure/ confidentiality on this, though looking at it objectively, I can see why a candidate may want to mention this in order to stand out.

I put it in anyway lol, just said I worked on the same case, and stated vaguely the type of work I did (which would be the same on their side really), but used it to make the point that I could hit the ground running as I am familiar with working on similar landmark deals as the firm and the skills i've gained off that
