Hi, would appreciate a bit of insight. I am planning a small trip away (3nights so would include one weekday) before i go back to uni but I am still waiting for the outcome of an application in which the next stage is an AC. obviously low chances I get an invite but wondering if firms are flexible if you’re unable to attend an AC?

For context there are no dates on the website and, by looking at the thread last year, the firm only held one AC last year and sent the invites out only 7 days prior.

I think you could email them for possible dates / time period for AC and also your planned dates for the trip, but if they dont revert / can't provide info maybe pay a bit higher for refundable accommodation and flights? You could also check how many ACs they will hold. Not sure if you were talking about Hogan Lovells, but more than a year ago I sent a few emails but didn't get a response

Hi guys, I’ve had an email from Beale and co HR saying i will be sent a link to a questionnaire and should’ve received it by now but I haven’t gotten it (checked my junk folder as well)

Radio silence for me, I’m so confused, I got the same email yesterday at 14:48 and I thought they’d get back to us today given that AC starts in a week…But surely if not today it has to be tomorrow

Well I got an invite for SHL 'General Ability' test.

It says "pen and paper & calculator required". However I'd probably use Excel & Windows Notepad.
Anyone know the rules here!?

no, not possible as they take 6 people from VS and 6 through direct

How did you know that? Legal cheek says they'll accept 25 candidates for training contract in London.

Because I talked to them, it is 25 across two years, they take 50% from each and from my AC (last year) [there was 9 people] and they took 6. This is directly from Pippa, part of the Early Careers. (also about 1600 applications if anyone really wants the numbers)

Rest well before the test, stay focus, and do not get distracted during the test.

SHL has time limit, so it'd be way more difficult than Amberjack even W&G.

Yet, it's not tricky as Pymetrics and Plum. It's used by large corporates such as Amazon and Bain & Co.

Reminder:

• DO NOT click the Video Interview link if you aren't well prepared
• DO NOT leave/refresh the page if you are about to start the interview

If you do either, it'll be marked as complete even though you haven't even seen the question or submit it.

If the situation persist, you have to contact the SHL tech support team directly to redo the interview, the firm has not authorised for this case.
