Heya, on Friday they emailed me to say hold tight they are still marking written assessments for WVS!!
Hi, it took two days for my feedback report to come through once I completed the test.Applied and completed the test to BCLP’s Spring Vac. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the feedback report / receive an update? Thank you
I was at work. Please can you (or anyone) just let me know before I email grad rec lol.
I had my interview yesterday. I’m sure they’re still interviewing as someone got an interview for this Friday on the forum. They told me I’d hear back within 2 weeks

Heyy, yeah it does include those extra bits you mentioned plus open days/forage.
I had some interaction with them last week (the office is super nice).
Just a few points I noted down
- They have a dedicated pro-bono team and it counts towards your billable hours.
- Sector focused firm - biggest sector is financial institutions (single biggest client is HSBC), energy & infrastructure and transport (shipping & aviation)
- compulsory seat - Corporate Banking
- big on sustainability
- LPC grads will have to do the condensed modules (think it’s 3 modules that’s part of the plus programme)
- Emerging markets firm - very good presence in Africa, Middle East and Asia - you can work directly on deals in these jurisdictions.
- Grad rec recommend people to apply for the vac scheme.
- office is open plan, a library, a music room with instruments and a dedicated innovation hub.
- A Level requirements is not a hard and fast rule - put your mitigating circumstances down and they view your app holistically. Rather than writing you off for not meeting it.
- I did not get any bad vibes!!! Everyone was genuinely nice and the global managing partner stayed longer than he was supposed to so he could answer all our questions. (FYI He trained at the firm).
Before my interaction with the firm I was 50/50 about applying but I’m definitely applying, they really brought the website alive and they are quite unique in some aspects.

Hi, I have my Dechert AC coming up this Friday and it will be held virtually. Does anyone know how technical the interview is going to be? I have seen on Ziplaw that past year questions included “what is a LBO”/“Name the different steps in M&A”. I’m wondering if it’s the same level of technicality this year?

Is anyone else still waiting from W&C after sending off their application? (no AC, no VI etc.)
Side note: I love how I've become somewhat fluent in all these acronyms in the month or so I've been on TCLA! The forum helps you be a better applicant + helps you learn a new language 😂
