Does anyone have a hunch as to when Linklaters might get back to people?
Also, is it worth applying to Freshfields’ TC still?

Freshfields is non-rolling so I don’t see why it wouldn’t be worth still applying. 🙂👍🏽

The deadline is 23rd of January. That’s 9 days away. If you can write a strong application in that time frame I’d say go for it!! 🫡🫡

It seems like Kirkland have already given out their AC invites from what im seeing on this thread. Such a shame because i attended their open day and did their VI. Oh well....

I completed their VI only a week ago so think they are still processing applications. Someone I know who did a VI a week prior to me only got their AC invite yesterday so keep your hopes up! Praying for both of us!

Ffs. I was good at that test on my first cycle, but this cycle I’ve been not doing as well. Looks like I’ll need to bite the bullet and buy the JobTestPrep kit or something.

Does anyone else have any WG prep websites they use? I’ve already used the Clifford Chance free test quite a few times. I’m scoring 80%+ in those but was only in the 32nd percentile when I did the Linklaters test.

Around 1 week to finish my first draft then couple days to make adjustments when someone reviews it

Hi @Jessica Booker!

I am looking to apply to Travers Smith. The ‘box’ for their cover letter on the application form is 1000 words max, and I’ve written exactly 1000 words.

Is that ok? It says the answer should be your cover letter, and I know 1000 words is long for the cover letter.

It also advises on the website that your letter should be about one A4 page but I think that advice may be from when you had to upload it as a word document, as opposed to pasting the text into a box.

Remember the time limit is 72 hours from the email, so it’s really tight.
