Congratulations on your vacation scheme offer. Haven’t heard back from Gibson Dunn post app in october. Do you think I should email them? When did you apply?
I think if you haven't heard from GD by now you can assume a PFO they are already well into second-round interviews and have made several offers already. But anything is possible! I applied in early October.

Such a quick turn around! You must have really impressed! Congrats!
You know what? I really did my research! I even spoke to a few trainees and associates at the firm via Linkedin. One of them arranged a call on Sunday with me that lasted like an hour! He offered to speak to me again if I needed before the interview. I phoned him yesterday and he put me on speaker to chat with a counsel that was in his office. Naturally with all the info I had, I nailed the 'Why GD' part. I think I connected well, and was bubbly (it was all zoom) and trust me luck plays a huge part. The topic for the case study was something I was extremely interested in and had researched and read around ad nauseam.

Reed Smith VI!! After I had given up hope. Thank God. Does anyone have any tips, particularly for the types of questions they ask in the VI (motivational, competency, strength)? For reference I applied on the deadline morning (6th Jan).
I haven't done the Reed Smith VI but I remember their grad rec team doing an webinar on this for TCLA and they said to try not to shoehorn your answers in questions. Which I found extremely helpful as I used to try to memorise a bunch of answers for VIs, it needs to come across as natural as possible.

I did my WG in early dec for HL, should I just assume PFO?
I don’t think anyone should assume PFO. 🫡

We won’t know until we get the email so we just need to have some faith that we still stand a chance. 🥲

I think I have seen 1 or 2 AC invites so I think HL are just going through all applications and making decisions as they go. 🙂

Best of luck!
