Has anyone hear back from PMC for the summer vacation scheme?

My advice would depend on how you made contact. I was privileged enough to be introduced to a partner too and I remain in touch via WhatsApp. I think this is a pretty good medium but I would also say LinkedIn is a pretty good method too. Both are useful services you can message on and aren’t too informal yet avoid the hassle of maintaining a connection over email! Hope this helps!hi all! i need some advice about staying in contact with partners.
i had a meeting with a partner from one of the firms i'm interested in several months ago. i got this opportunity through a mutual contact. we had a great chat, he was very friendly, and i learned a lot about the firm and decided to apply there. i got rejected post-app (was sad at first but it's okay).
i would like to send an email to the partner, updating him on the progress of my application. i also would like to express my interest in a paralegal position at the firm after my graduation, and ask who can i talk to regarding this to understand whether i'd be suitable for them.
i am not sure how to approach this as i have never had a partner contact before. i would like to maintain this connection as he was extremely friendly, and i feel like i can learn a lot from him in general.
any advice on how to approach it would be appreciated!
Not to offend, but you then proceed to react with a laughing face to the OP, who has said they struggle with the WG. What a conceited and arrogant display. My post was not too offend - but to emphasise my opinion in a tongue in cheek manner regarding the pointless nature of them having a WG, if their ’pass rate’ is gonna be so low.
I dont think you guys will hear back until the second batch of AC's are completed after 6th of February at the very least!Anyone hear from Milbank post AC and Watson Glaser?
For a question like this what sort of structure would you recommend? Would you take a factor and then look at both companies and compare?
Also more broadly do you have any advice for structuring written exercises?
Hey, I heard back from Milbank this afternoon post-ACI dont think you guys will hear back until the second batch of AC's are completed after 6th of February at the very least!
Did you get it??Hey, I heard back from Milbank this afternoon post-AC
Hey @mfuturetrainee I understand how anxious you must be feeling right now - preparing for and completing an AC is quite a nerve-racking experience in itself, so I can only imagine how difficult it must be with the added stress of having to juggle preparation and your job. Fortunately, I do not expect the lesser amount of preparation time will play a significant role in your AC performance, especially for the written exercise. This does depend on the firm, but the majority of written tasks are drafted in such a way so as to be mostly self-contained. Thus, they normally set out to test skills like time management, communication skills, and attention to detail; and not to assess prior knowledge. Of course, it is useful to familiarize yourself with the format and the time pressure and thus I would advise you to try to complete one or two during one of the next evenings, but in my opinion beyond that there are diminishing returns to pushing yourself to practice more.how does one prep for an AC that has a written component and an interview effectively when working full time? I literally get home at 6 and I'm trying not to crash @Andrei Radu @Ram Sabaratnam would love your thoughts!!
I'm also very behind with commercial awareness and am trying to figure out the best way to utilise being effective in that as well![]()
I usually go with tie, better to be overdressed than underdressedTie or no tie for ACs?
When did you hear back and what office?Does anyone have insight into the Addleshaw Goddard AC? Am happy to provide insight into ACs for Hogan Lovells, Eversheds Sutherland, Travers Smith, Slaughter and May, TLT, and Freshfields as well as VIs for around 10 other firms!
On their website they ask for a 2.1, it doesn’t mention strong or high, so I can’t imagine they are as strict as some other firms.Hi, anyone know if Orrick is really strict with grades? Checked all trainee profiles on Linkedin and IIRC each and every one of them had listed a first.
