27 is still very young in the grand scheme of a career. I'm 25 and only decided to switch to law last year. I have a vacation scheme this summer, but realistically, it could be years before I secure a training contract, and I’m okay with that—because when I finally land the role, it will be the best feeling after working so hard. If this is your dream career, you must pursue it for as long as it takes to get there. I have faith in you—if you've secured vacation schemes before, it’s clear that you possess qualities firms find attractive. Don't give up!
mind putting in a few good words for us?😃 in all seriousness congrats on ur VS!

Anyone received stephenson harwood sjt invite yet? Haven't heard back from them after application. Was curious to know when do they send them out usually since they're on a rolling basis and has anyone already received them yet?
I emailed GR at the beginning of week and they said everyone will hear back after the deadline (28th Feb) - I think they review apps on a rolling basis but outcomes come out after the deadline.

Hi @Andrei Radu,

I hope you are keeping well. 🐐

Similar to one of the questions I had asked on the forum previously (for which you gave an amazing answer), how would you describe Willkie Farr & Gallagher in terms of its position in the City of London (apart from it being one of the leading transactions and disputes firms in London)? How would you describe the firm as a whole, taking into account its growth and strategic decisions over the past decade? 🙂

Also, who would you say are the firm’s closest competitors, looking at their key practice areas such as PE and Litigation, but also as a US firm in London more broadly? I believe you did a VS at Willkie and received a TC offer. Is there any advice or insight you could share in relation to the partner interview e.g., how to prepare for it and navigate the different elements? I am nervous as I haven’t actually ever spoken to partners before, not least partners of a leading US law firm in London. 🥲

Please help. 🥲
@Andrei Radu I second this :)
