Just got rejected post-interview for Slaughters Summer scheme, ggs. Got an open day, so there's that at least.

Really should've applied to more than 6 places ☹️, but this cycle's basically done. Guess I have next year.

I would not say there is no chance. Slaughter and May is known to interview people over a very extended period, and this cycle seems to have been particularly busy for many firms. Moreover, since they have not responded to you yet, it could be the case that you have been placed on a waiting list; in which case your progression would depend on the performance of other candidates in the interviews/their acceptance of VS offers.

Has anyone applied to Reed Smith's first year scheme? I'm wondering if anybody know's the specific dates for the scheme as I can't find them listed anywhere? I have emailed grad rec but they aim to reply within 3 working days, which will be Wednesday now.

guys, please urgent help! I am applying to stephenson harwood, and i wrote my answers and everything, but i am debating whether i should apply to the placement or the training contract... Anyway has suggestions? which one is better (i have a total of about 5 months legal experience, and volunteering of over 2.5 years), is that enough for a TC or just go safe for placement

I submitted my Stephenson Harwood application literally like two minutes ago too lol 😅 - I honestly think it is just down to what you prefer. I did a placement year so technically have a year of legal experience, but I much prefer spending time at the firm rather than going straight to a TC assessment day so I applied for the placement instead.

Did you pass to the next stage? I got effective communicator and open connector with my weakness being personal responsibility. Just got an email saying I didn't pass to the next stage

Next stage? I didnt get the placement but got the strong application message.
