I thought I was weird too for liking WGs😭 once you understand how to approach them, it’s kinda funIt’s a WG on steroids tho. I love WG tests (I’m weird like that), but this one was something else.
Yes that’s true and it takes so much lesser time especially when it’s the traditional timed one.I thought I was weird too for liking WGs😭 once you understand how to approach them, it’s kinda fun
tbh I wouldnt expect anything less from a US firm LOL! thank uIt’s a WG on steroids tho. I love WG tests (I’m weird like that), but this one was something else.
Is this the new word for PFO 🤣Pinsent (Regions) ❌
Hey @meredithgrey (loving the username btw) the safe choice would be to name 2-3 of the similar firms, just so they have no concerns surrounding your motivation for the kind of firm of future career.Any advice for how to answer what other law firms have you applied to?
*tbh I've applied to quite a few for different reasons. I've heard you're supposed to say ones that are similar to show you understand the firm but like how many should I say etc??
Cheers - early Nov; MCRDamn that’s sucks man, sorry can I ask When did you apply and which region?
@iwatchsuits typically, with these sort of applications, they decide if you're a strong enough candidate for the DTC route or if they would like to see what you're like in practice before pushing you forwards with the TC. Equally, for those that maybe don't have strong enough experience, and may otherwise be rejected for a DTC, they may be considered for the VS. Think of it as a safety net.I'm applying to a firm that offers the option of applying to both the vacation scheme and training contract (under one application). Is it a good idea to do this, and if so, how would I frame this in my answer to the question: 'What attracts you to applying to our vacation scheme/training contract?'. Would I just write separate points in the intro regarding why a vacation scheme would be useful and why a training contract would be useful?
Idek how the selection process would work for applying to both but I am assuming I would just be considered for both schemes and would get one or the other rather than both but I have no idea - it doesn't say anything on the website about how applying to both schemes work. This firm does not seem to recruit directly from vacation schemes, as it says on the website that 'many of the people that attend the vacation scheme go on to apply for the training contract'.
Congrats! May I know when you submitted your video interview?Eversheds AC! For London
Can’t quite believe it ☺️
ACs run on the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th 28th and 29th - there's still hope if only one person has heard back so far!Getting nervous now because haven't heard back from Eversheds (London) after video interview but saw a member got invited to the AC 😥
Me too! Let’s not give up hope!Getting nervous now because haven't heard back from Eversheds (London) after video interview but saw a member got invited to the AC 😥
They seem to have gone quiet judging by this thread. A few weeks ago PFOs were quite frequent with some spring ACs in between, and now I don’t see anything!Hey guys, I’ve seen one person on this thread receive an AC from HSF Kramer for the Spring Vac, has anyone else received an AC? I haven’t received a PFO nor an AC invite so just interested to know. Thank you!
Recruitment, especially mass recruitment campaigns, almost always take longer than expected. I’ve recruited for 3 roles at the same time before and it was expected the campaign would be completed in 6 weeks. It took 12. Sometimes delays happen due to no fault of their own.The way some grad teams work amazes me. I know everyone is busy but if I’ve done an interview and was promised a reply in 3 weeks it’s now been 5 and I’ve had my emails ignored lol.
Could pick a slot from a range- there’s 6 ACs I think, from the 20th-29th so they may still be getting back to people! Good luck!Champion!!! Did you get auto-assigned an AC slot, or could you pick from the range given in the VI email?
I doubt it’s just one person. Not everyone applying for these roles are on TCLA and some choose not to announce AC invites/pfos.ACs run on the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th 28th and 29th - there's still hope if only one person has heard back so far!
