Do people send thank you emails after interviews (specifically ACs with partners)?
Not sure whether to or not?

By all means, it is not expected (and don't expect it to change the outcome!), but it can't hurt. I think it's always nice to thank them for their time + helps to create a good impression. If they've taken the time to review candidates for hours on end, then the few seconds taken to read a tiny email is a drop in the ocean.

For Sidley’s extracurricular and interests section, should I avoid mentioning positions of responsibility, such as university society roles, in the experience section and instead include them here?

thats what i did - work experience only allows 4 so used those for my 4 most concrete and related experiences then used the interests and roles section for society positions and sports for example.

Based on last year:
OC - mid jan
Dentons - 8 Jan so should be soon tbh
Clyde - end Jan

you get 4 days after you submit i believe

To anyone studying at BPP, be thankful you’re not at Ulaw.

We’ve just been told a Contract exam we sat yesterday has been voided because of Ulaw’s own incompetence.
We now all need to resit next week (and they haven’t even told us the date).

wait what r u okay? and omg whatttt I was planning to study at ULAW ??? don't loads of MC firms choose Ulaw, shouldn't it be reliable?

I do! There’s a course on TCLA, I believe it’s the crash course, where the speaker (who secured 5 training contract offers) suggested you do because it shows professionalism. He also noted how one of his interviewers from Weil, who is now one of his mentors, also mentioned to him how he liked that he emailed after as so few people do and apparently it’s good etiquette.
