It's two separate sections, independent of each other, so you could take them at different times.

Hi, thank you! I applied for the vac scheme last year and was successful, but their process is a bit different. While other firms offer exit interviews straight after the vac scheme, Perkins said ours would be 1 or 2 years later. So if you did the vac scheme in your second year, you’d do it in your final year; if you did it in your first year, you’d also do it in your final year (like me). That was the only possible route to the LBA programme at the time (in 2024), so there wasn’t a direct LBA application available.
It’s only recently (so this year) that they opened both LBA and VS applications, which I think has now closed, so you’d likely need to wait until next year when applications open again. That can actually be a positive, because it gives you more time to learn about the merger (if it goes through) and prepare a strong application. In terms of dates, they typically recruit sometime in the summer (around June-ish I think).

I see there is a lot of activity regarding DLA Piper. I'd like to know (be extremely grateful too) if someone who has been invited to a phone interview can share when they received their 'passed WG' email and what their scores were. If it helps anyone (I have not been invited to a phone interview - yet?)

- Watson Glaser Invite 26th October (did it on the 28th)
- Received the 'you have successfully passed our online assessment' email on the 29th Oct
- My 'scores' were: 3 Strengths to leverage and 1 Further exploration

Does Simmons and Simmons have video interview questions during their amberjack, and are they motivational or scenario based?
It is at the end, there's 4 with unlimited time to prepare and they are motiviational/commercial based
If you did the test last year it’s more or less the same. They never really change anything
