TCLA Vacation Scheme Applications Discussion Thread 2025-26

You guys need to relax with inbox being empty. It's only been 3 days since people have been back to work. Also grad recruitment are handling the new January trainee cohort and other things also. Maybe watch a movie or watch the sesson finale of stranger things whilst waiting for law firms. Sorry if this is salty or harsh.
everyone is quite understanding here that they can’t pester or constantly be on grad recs case it’s more of an inside feelings they’re communicating on an optional forum more as a joke to cope. We don’t know what helps people and some may really need it, I’m sure just ignoring or watching a movie or a season finale of stranger things would help you ignore their comments lol.

Not really. But if you would like to, you could link back to the firm.
For example: Completing X activity helped me develop Y skill, which aligns with Z fact about the firm.

wondering if anyone would have some advice as I am freaking out a bit - but I recently applied to a firm where I fully thought that I hadn't appplied before and so when that question came up on the application form, I stated that I hadnt. However, when I was searching for my previous application from a different firm, I saw that I did apply to this firm quite a few years ago but just totally forgot. Would anyone have any advice on what to do? I do not want to seem untruthful at all and maybe the firm has already realised it, but I am worried about seeming careless if I let them know now!

can you submit an application with the same personal details but different email address? I've heard ppl do this before but question the legitimacy and success rate

why would you do that?
The only way this would even make sense is if you did a fake application with different personal details in order to try and sneak a peek at the VI or something. Obviously that's terribly dishonest and not something I'd recommend, but I'm sure some people have done it.

Letting you guys know that the Clyde & Co online test is not automatic. I would know because I received a PFO today post-app, and the reason given was because I do not meet the requirements to apply.

Also a heads up to those looking to apply to Clyde & Co, they are strict on grade requirements. I have CBB in A Levels but attend an RG target university, with a 2:1 in my first year, but I was still rejected because of my A-level
Sorry to hear that 😞

Will likely be the same for me. Got ABC at A-level, 2.1 at undergraduate, Distinction for my LLM and 12 years experience in a demanding career but yes, let’s focus on exams I took when I was barely 18… 🤦🏻‍♂️

Same for WFW, which is a shame as I am really interested in the maritime sector!

My bro I think you're deeping this - a firm is not going to care about past applications, especially from a few years ago. What you did is not gonna paint you as a "dishonest" candidate in the slightest. Honestly, I really don't think you need to do anything / flag it up with the firm. Head up 🙏 🙏

I agree - it's not that deep 🙏
