Yea feeling like I bombed an AC case study today but rest of interview went well. Unsure how to feel about - gut feeling is I’m getting a PFO..

I had an AC at HSF, tbh i felt everything went fine until the partner case study, i completely forgot what a warranty was and it was quite bad lol. the partner was literally looking at me very confused, i thought after that i would not get the offer at all. But i did, i think because the rest of the AC was strong and i was quite poorly when i had done contract law which i told them so i said i hadnt reviewed it for a while. Definitely dont think the worse has happened!

(Almost) by definition, no.

AC's are the best way for firms to assess aplicants, so they generally put a lot of weight on them--which makes sense given how resource-intesive they are. I heard about several strong Oxbridge 1sts with great experience who were rejected due to poor AC performance.

THAT BEING SAID
- we tend to be very critical in post-ac-self-reflection
- the company may weigh various aspects differently (e.g. if interview is great, being satisfied with the written exercise passing some minimum threshold)

Therefore, its not over till its over. Fingers crossed for all!!!

Weil AC invite!! I’m still in shock so had to take a few hours to process getting the email haha.

For those interested, I applied in early Nov and got the online test around the end of Nov.

I sat the SJT and VI around mid Dec (14-17) and scored 7566 high numerical and verbal.​

I’d assume so even Milbank who have such limited slots still invite over 100 people.
