@solicitor_2028 I'm not sure if this is still the case, but I think the question was optional and not mandatory - so I don't know how much of a difference it would make if you didn't have anything to say here. Given what their graduate recruitment team have said in the past, I think this question is more about diversity - so you can include your committee work for a social mobility organisation, but the general idea is things that have supported you. This is where things like aspiring solicitors, grow mentoring, BAME programmes etc would come in. So don't worry too much! One of the OC application question is: "Have you been a part of any professional services support programmes in the last 5 years? Please outline those that you have participate in below - this could include (but is not limited to) mentoring programmes, work experience opportunities, scholarships and diversity access schemes with other organisations."
I was a part of the committee for a social-mobility organisation outside university (this was remote work) + a part-time customer facing role (NOT professional services)- was wondering if these come within the ambit of this question?
I'm afraid I don't have any experiences specifically for this answer and that would disadvantage my application![]()

Hey @lawstudent2 in the past we've had a lot of success and positive feedback off the back of this comprehensive guide:Does anyone have any advice for the Weil case study, or just case studies in general?
I don't really know what to expect or how to best prepare.
Thanks!
nope! i applied on deadline and made ac last yearI have just submitted my application for Cleary. Will it probably be too late considering how rolling they are?
If you don't mind telling us, how did you balance your personal experiences vs 'what you'd actually do' in the situational VI questions? I feel like I overdid the personal experience bit and that might be the problemI applied on the deadline, did SJT and VI over Sunday and Monday
See I thought I completely messed up because I didnt draw on my personal experience bar in the last question briefly. I found it very difficult to try and cover everything in 2 minutes so I felt like I explained my process/way of thinking more than talking about my experienceIf you don't mind telling us, how did you balance your personal experiences vs 'what you'd actually do' in the situational VI questions? @Afraz Akhtar I'm so sorry to double tag, it's quite urgent and I'd really appreciate your guidance. Thank you so much and once again apologies for the double tag 😓Thank you so much for the advice, @Afraz Akhtar ! I really appreciate the swift reply. Just as a follow-up, how should I approach writing the email? Should I mention that I have a clashing AC, even though I booked a time slot for Firm A first, or should I keep it vague and say I have "immovable academic commitments"?
Congratulations! Which office is this for?Addleshaw Goddard VI. Would really appreciate any insights / tips![]()
