I appreciate it. I hope they don't take it the wrong way, as they gave a rough timeline in their last email (although I guarantee the timeline they gave is inaccurate based on dates, they perhaps gave the timeline hoping people wouldn't email about it).

I had both of these typed in my phone.

I was waiting to hear back from a law firm after a bumpy Vac Scheme.

It was sort of obvious it hadn't gone well.

But 'future nothing' if you don't get one of a handful of jobs at a law firm?

Well, yes, that's how it seemed at the time.

Not now of course, but back in January 2021, as had been the case for the preceding three years, I hitched my sense of self-worth to a two letter acronym - TC, or Training Contract, if you prefer.

Now those letters have quite a different meaning:

Take control
Tutoring career
Take care
Tailor-made career

Etc etc.

It's easier to 'make it' in life without a Training Contract than you might thin

I wish they gave us feedback. It's not easy to put so much effort in and not even know what you did wrong

I heard last year they gave feedback to some people post WE but I didn't get feedback sigh

It'll be the same excuse 'competition was high' just tell me straight did I write a load of utter waffle or was a on the cusp of making it but you didn't have enough interview slots. If people are good enough and talent is important make more slots... lots of firms do it.
