Yepp I admire the positive attitude! I wasn't expecting an offer tbf because I knew I did badly in that one I just hope the feedback is usefulDon’t worry! Rejection is normal (I’m in the same boat so this is directed to me as well). Defo a learning experience for sure tho
depends on the firm, what are your top firms? links require a 2:1 in every module, HSF i got through with two 2:2s with mit circs, clifford chance are a bit more lenient if you have a 2:1 overall - those are just my insights so far!guys I wanted to ask, how much do firms consider extenuating circumstances when it comes to individual module grades? I have a 2:1 and everything but I had genuine unfortunate circumstances which systematically impacted my time and studies at university. Am I safe to believe that top firms will understand that?
I’ve applied to a range of firms this year but I will say I avoided the US and magic circle firms, even though I would love to apply. I just feel like my application won’t stand out against people with very high 2:1s and 1sts. I did progress with a few firms this year, but if I need to reapply next app cycle, do I have a chance with say firms like Ashurst, travers smith, AG etc?depends on the firm, what are your top firms? links require a 2:1 in every module, HSF i got through with two 2:2s with mit circs, clifford chance are a bit more lenient if you have a 2:1 overall - those are just my insights so far!

I have some 2.2 modules and I got AG VI, Dla piper AC, Dentons VI! Keep trying! Just do your best. ( failed them all lmfaooo but it’s irrelevant. Hi, yes I did but haven’t heard back from it yetDid you get a voice interview?
Thanks so much for the insights!!! The fact that you progressed passed the app stage is more than enough consolation for me because I just thought I wasn’t cut out. I hope you get something soon if you haven’t already!!
i had an interview w/ them last week for the vac scheme, dunno about TCHas anybody heard from Boodle Hatfield post application? (not sure whether to mark it as a pfo)
What firms are you applying for?I’ve done a few ACs so far and one more coming up but I’m just feeling so deflated. Feedback received so far was basically you’re good but not good enough. Feel like I’m also bombing the ACs that I did but haven’t received an outcome because I would think about the parts that I didn’t do well. You might say well you don’t have to do well for every exercise and firms want to see potential not finished products but the brutal reality is there are lots of people out there that did better than you and perhaps across all exercises but you didn’t do so well in a few parts of the exercises and so you couldn’t get a vac scheme. And it hit harder if they take almost half of the AC attendees to their vac scheme
Perfect! Thank you - best of luck!!!i had an interview w/ them last week for the vac scheme, dunno about TC

London is definitely the most competitive area, but it’s great you are still getting good feedback. Maybe target firms with regional locations too, so you are mixing your focusSome international, some national (The firms I had ACs with). Mostly in London and full service. Not US firms.
