I think it depends on the firm. For one of my ACs, I was required to keep on the camera whilst reading and preparing for my case study. In another one, I wasn't.I was having technical issues with my camera for one of my ACs and the graduate recruitment reassured us that if something like that were to happen, we could conduct the case study interview over the phone.
