For people who are going to Linklaters open day, are ACs for spring/summer VS basically guaranteed, as long as you attend?

My Linklaters invitation said that 'your application will only be eligible for fast-track if you attend the Open Day'. So I assume that it is pretty much guaranteed as long as you complete the fast-track form by 15 December (as it says to do in the email).

The email said short application form so I assumed that was another stage of the application process for us? Idk

Hi guys - has anyone got any tips (from personal experience) on Shearman & Sterling interviews (particularly for vacation schemes)?

Is it ok to talk about politics in interviews? For example if I say I’m very interested in politics and am a member of a political party and attend meetings? Would they expect you to name the political party? Or will that just invite questions about why I haven’t chosen a career in politics?

Should I assume Ashurst winter vac pfo? Or are they still offering ACs?

I haven't heard back either, apparently, their last Ac is on the 8th but I assume we should've heard back by now if we needed to prepare for an AC for the 8th. Sigh.
