@Jessica Booker I had an AC on the 9th February. They said it should take 1-1/2 weeks to hear back... It's now been 2 weeks... Should I contact them? Completely understand graduate recruitment will be very busy but expecting a PFO at this point...

whats going on with slaughters post interview GUYS?!?!??! I interviewed on the 10th of feb and have got nothing yet? Have they sent out all PFOs and are checking references with successful candidates or can I still expect a PFO?

I just got an offer! You shouldn't have to wait too long if you applied for a VS

not necessarily, I'm still waiting and others are too and someone on this forum said that grad rec are still reviewing applications and sending out interview invites so we should probably not assume a rejection just yet. all the best

I would if I were you, you never know what's in store for you 🤣 (don't take my word that it's okay though I don't rly know but I would assume they can't stop you from carrying on (but again Idk tho lol))

Thanks for that :') My app was for spring so I'm lowkey convinced that they're going to ghost me. But I'll still wait till the end of next week to be sure!

Yes of course! There's not a 100% guarantee of a TC after a VS, and you might also realise that you'd prefer to be at another firm. Congrats btw!!

I wouldn't assume this just yet. A lot of us are waiting still. They do seem to enjoy taking very long with making decisions!

Hi, Jessica. Just a follow up question here, what if the employer says that he wouldn't want to employ again because he did not find our performance up to the mark. Do we lose our TC in that case?

It would depend on the weighting of the reference. For instance if it was your only legal work experience it might be looked upon more heavily than if it was one of many legal placements for which the others you got a good reference for.

Many past employers will only confirm job title, employment dates and to confirm that there were no disciplinary issues and won’t make any further comment than that.
