It has been a rough cycle. Only one telephone interview for me. All that after 30+ TC/VS apps. Still, open days can be helpful. Maybe try that if applying again. Then you’ve shown commitment to firms.
That’s the thing, I’ve been to numerous open days with HL and I even did their lift off scheme last year. They really are my top firm šŸ˜”

Applying to firms is a lot like dating - just because they laugh at your jokes and flirt with you and maybe even have one-night stands with you, doesn't mean they're invested. Maybe they just enjoy the attention you're giving them. Attraction ≠ Intention ≠ Investment. Don't invest in someone who won't invest in you.

There’s plenty more firms out there. Easy to get set on firms. But they’re more similar than different. You could always reapply to them. I felt this way for W&C.
by the time one enters their third/fourth cycle, all firms become dream firms tbh

has anyone else applied to fried frank's TC? if so, does anyone know what the word limit is supposed to be for the questions? The cover letter entry states a 500 word limit but there is no mention for the other 3 questions. There also isn't a maximum word entry in the boxes. I figured the best is just to go for the standard 300 limit but does anyone have any further insight?
Yes. I got to a first stage int with them last year. I can't remember what I wrote but I will check for you later today.

How did you find the AC? And don’t say ā€œusing Google Mapsā€! Where else are you applying to?
šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ honestly, I found it really really enjoyable, wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, but obviously everyone has something to offer and I just hope I had what they were looking...

applied to a bunch of other places, I think you saw it before, on the vacation scheme thread... but my top 5 choices were as a couple of months ago: 1) King & Spalding 2) W&C 3) HSF 4) Debevoise 5) baker Mckenzie

rejected from all, except K&S so far, hopefully I get through cuz it's insanely good

nine minutes late, tsk-tsk šŸ˜‚

looks like it is a PFO for me

fair dos, they've sent out their PFO a few minutes later (strangely marked "private and confidential")

Thank you for applying for the 2027 Training Contracts with Kingsley Napley LLP. We have enjoyed reading every application, and appreciate the time and effort put into these.

We are sorry to share that you have been unsuccessful in progressing through to the next stage. Every application has been reviewed thoroughly, and the standard has been exceptionally high. As much as we would like to give individual feedback, it is incredibly difficult to do so with the volume of applications we have received. We are therefore not able to give feedback at this stage.
