I’m really excited to announce that I’ve recently accepted a TC offer! This was my second cycle and I’d almost given up hope.
The adage that you only need one yes is so true! To everyone that is waiting to hear back from firms or getting ready to apply in the next cycle please don’t loose heart. If anyone wants any advice please feel free to reach out I’m more than happy to share any insights or advice that I have 😊

For all those who did the Hogan Lovells WG, after how many days did you find out about your outcome? Also, are they sending out only rejections for WG first or are they also letting candidates know if you passed the test?
Also, since HL is on rolling basis has anyone received AC invites?

I did the WG five days before the deadline and haven’t heard back yet.

Also they don’t let you know why you failed if you get a PFO, you’ll just know that you passed the WG if you get an overall pass - but no specific info on your WG score unfortunately. So there might be a scenario where your application would have been good enough but you didn’t meet the threshold for the WG, and you’ll never know.

hey wanted to ask if anyone has heard back from HL or S&C? also for those saying they found out whether they had passed the HG WG test, where or when did you hear? thanks so much! keeping fingers crossed for everyone

Hey all, would people recommend TCLA gold?
I had it for a while. Here are my thoughts:

- I didn't find anything written (e.g. application guides and law firm profiles) useful for writing applications or interviews. They contain lots of info but really all you need to know is on Chambers Student and Legal 500.

- Most of the more formal video series were great. I liked the series on PE, on situational judgement interviews, and the case studies and video guides attached. If you have interviews coming up where these types of content may be useful, I would consider it.

- Application review (which you get once a month for free) is very thorough, but is not done by a recruitment specialist, but rather another candidate who's secured a TC. It was useful, but not more credible than your friend from two years above who's got a TC. I understand (discounted?) mock interviews are also done by future trainees, not recruitment specialists. (Not that any of this is falsely advertised)

- The additional stuff this year, like Accelerator, seemed OK but not super necessary. I never fully used this one though, for full transparency

hi everyone, if we are asked to write about any topic we want to apart from a legal one do you think it would be best to keep it to 'professional' topics so something in the news or can it something just tied to our hobbies

@Jaysen @TCLA Community Assistant - Hi both, I recall last year an associate from PW (potentially Arun?) did an hour-long session on Private Equity in practice, how a deal is structured and a lawyer's role in this etc. I've taken a look online but can't find a recording of this anywhere - was this session recorded and is it uploaded anywhere for us to watch back? Thanks for your help
