Congrats!!!!, when did you apply and is Ropes & Gray rolling basis???

It’s not rolling cause they only review after the deadline. However, they seem to be doing AC invites in stages..

congrats to everyone getting an AC invite with ropes though, their vac scheme intakes are like 12 spring and 12 in summer I think .. so getting to their AC is really good!

Hi, I submitted my Dechert app on 31 Jan. VI was a week after (7 Jan). Then invite to AC received on 14 Jan.

The answer to this is definitely not "The partner because the work is probably more important"

If this is an interview question, you'll have to ask for more information i.e. which task have you been involved with, how busy are you at the time etc!

Sorry another question from me - I am frantically prepping for an interview . Does anyone know what resources I could use to come up to an answer for 'what white & case's strategy from 2020 onwards should be?' Should i be focusing on areas in which they are not as strong, or haven't strengthened as much in their 2020 strategy, or should I not draw attention to that and more continue focusing on the positives? E.g. continue expanding practice in M&A until they are on par with MC or something along those lines

Dechert has already accepted people for Spring schemes, though I'm not sure if spaces are filled yet. I made it past VI and have been invited to Dechert AC, scheduled for this week.

I submitted Dechert on the deadline (31 Jan), a couple hours before.

I wonder if anyone can give me some tips on Dechert AC?' I'd be most grateful. Thank you!

If it is automatic then why would it take 3 weeks to be sent? Also, on their website it states do well at each stage and you get invited to the next round. It is therefore more reasonable to assume that they would review your application and then send tests. Then following that they probably review your app alongside your score and compare to other candidates.

If it was automatic then it would be sent straight away. Just my thought.

I spoke to grad rec at their open day and she confirmed they only reviewed your application IF the WG is passed!

Just received a PFO after an application that I spent hours on - one that I was quite sure was one of my best to date and which was actually reviewed for me by two people, including a current trainee at the said firm. I honestly do not know what went wrong, I am scanning it right now and I keep wondering what they did not like about it.

I still have one AC and a final round interview lined up in the coming weeks so I probably should focus on these two, but man, it hurts

Just received a WG invite from NRF for the Summer Vac Scheme! I applied on Jan 17. So for those still waiting, good news may be coming your way! Also, don't overthink when you submitted your app as they seem to be reviewing them in no particular order (people who applied later than I did have received WG invites before).

Still a lot of work to be done but it feels really nice after having been rejected from CC and Simmons (after spending a crazy amount of time on those apps) during this application cycle.

Another rejection
Bit gutted that I’ve only received one AC for this rejection cycle; although I am really thankful. The ones I really thought I would be successful at I didn’t, but I guess you just need to move forward.
Hope other people have better news.
