I've done two vac schemes (unsuccessful) and enjoyed them but wouldn't say I was 100% passionate about the actual work on either. Did you ever feel this way or were you always sure? Congrats btw and thanks for being such a kind voice and great support this on this forum.
This could be totally wrong but I don't think they have a formal waiting list/ would tell you. They might but last year I was rejected after my assessment centre and they rang me about 6 weeks later saying they had made a mistake and did want me (was not because people dropped out but because...
I have now got a job so I'm not bothered by it but I've just got feedback from why I was rejected after a winter vacation scheme and thought it might be helpful to others! Also it was defo a competitive one with lots of vac schemes and not many places so could also have been down to written...
Hi, I have a telephone interview coming up but don't have strong signal in my house and don't want to do it outside or in a cafe or something as it obviously isn't silent. I have wifi calling- does anyone know if you can use wifi calling to speak to a landline? Is there a chance it wouldn't...

They didn't ask many follow up questions so my advice would be to give your full answer the first time round. It can be unnerving just talking into a phone but don't let it put you off...

There aren't any online tests for Travers Smith if that's what you mean:)
Written exercise: There is some basic maths involved to work out a factual answer before you write a longer piece. The maths is not difficult so don't let it throw you even if you think you're not good at maths. Make...
Not sure what stage you're at but maybe they encouraged finalists to apply to another one this year and others to next year or something? Otherwise seems really weird.
I just got rejected from the Shearman and Sterling Winter VS because they are have "filled all their places", but they said they were impressed with my application and to apply to Spring/ Summer. Quite surprised to get this type of thing from a firm who said they were not recruiting on a rolling...
I also struggled with this so in my app I talked about global range and all the obvious things and then I focused in on a specific sector they are particularly strong on and wrote about why that interested me
